Support Creativity. Support Community. Support Wellbeing.

Forster Art Studio was created to be more than just an art space — it is a safe, welcoming place where creativity supports emotional wellbeing, confidence, and connection within our community.

Creative expression plays a vital role in healthy development and mental wellbeing. For children, art provides a way to communicate feelings they don’t yet have words for, build self-esteem, strengthen focus, and develop problem-solving skills. For adults, creative practice reduces stress, supports emotional regulation, and offers a rare and much needed opportunity to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves.

However, with the rising cost of living, many families are forced to prioritise essentials over any type of enrichment activities — even when they understand how important creative experiences are for their children’s growth and wellbeing, and their own growth and wellbeing. Our studio has also felt the pressure of rising costs, and is in need of funds to keep being able to provide high quality service, art materials, and the benefits of a unique creative space to our community.

That’s where your support makes a real difference.

How Your Donation Helps

• Your $25 Donation provides 1 hour of art tuition for a local child, including all art materials, everything they need to create, and sometimes even a biscuit or two while they work.

This hour offers more than art skills — it gives a child a sense of achievement, a calm space to express themselves, and the confidence that comes from being encouraged and supported.

We have some art class families who are struggling financially, and providing them some free sessions will have a huge impact. If I receive enough donations, I will open up opportunities to our local schools to help provide free sessions in the studio for deserving and/ or disadvantaged children.

•Your $55 Donation provides 1 hour of private art tuition for a child in our local community, including all materials and custom-designed content tailored to their interests and goals.

These sessions support creative confidence, stress reduction, and personal growth, whether the focus is learning new skills, self-expression, or therapeutic creativity.

• Your $35 Donation provides a 2-hour art journalling class for an adult in our community who is needing connection, creativity, and support.

Art journalling combines creativity with reflection, helping participants process emotions, reduce anxiety, and build healthier coping strategies in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.

• Your $100 Donation provides relief for the overheads of running our community minded business, it supports learning opportunities, and our ability to continue to provide high quality art materials, and workshops.

• Your $120 donation provides a 2-hour private art tuition for an adult, with customised content to suit their needs, goals, and style.

Why Creative Expression Matters

Creative expression helps people:

•Process emotions in a safe, non-verbal way

•Build confidence and a sense of identity

•Develop resilience and emotional regulation

•Improve focus, problem-solving, and flexibility of thinking

•Feel connected, supported, and part of a community

Every donation directly translates into time, materials, guidance, and opportunity. You are not funding creative moments where someone feels calmer, more capable, and proud of what they have made.

By donating to Forster Art Studio, you are investing in creativity, wellbeing, self expression, self discovery, and a stronger, more connected community.

Thank you for helping make art accessible to everyone, and for supporting a unique local business.
